Kakuro is a cross-sum puzzle that blends the digit logic of Sudoku with the sum-based entries of a crossword. Fill each white cell with a digit from 1–9. Each clue shows the total of the digits in that run — across or down. Within any single run, no digit may repeat.
Every puzzle in our library has been validated to have exactly one unique solution and hand-rated for difficulty based on the solving techniques required.
Every clue cell shows two numbers: the down sum in the upper-right (top of the diagonal) and the across sum in the lower-left. Fill each white cell under a clue so its digits add up to the clue. Digits 1–9 are allowed, but each digit may appear at most once per run.
For example, a clue of 6 over a two-cell run has only three possible digit pairs: 1+5, 2+4, and 3+3 — but since digits can't repeat, the answer is either 1,5 or 2,4. Narrowing down which pair fits comes from the perpendicular runs crossing those cells.
